A starting spot of 12th from being a PASS race winner this season, a track where passing is tough, and a car short on forward bite, all made it an uphill battle for Johnny at White Mountain. A green flag run of over 100 laps saw side by side racing by cars of similar speeds and Johnny working hard to pick up spots. Into 10th on lap 60, Johnny then ran in 7th from lap 81 to 123.
Settled into 5th on lap 135, Johnny gave up only 2 points to Mike Rowe with a better finish in the heat. The points are now Johnny 1918, Mike 1899, and Scott Chubbuck 1892.
